Cisco Secure Access Help Manage Content Category Lists

Last updated: Aug 07, 2025

Manage Content Category Lists

Secure Access classifies internet destinations using content-based categories. Examples of content categories are: gambling, social networking, and alcohol.

To speed rule creation and to apply rules consistently to groups of categories, you can create content category lists. For example, you can create a list of categories that you want to block, and another list that you will use in rules with the Warn action.

Then, when you select a destination in an internet access rule, you can select one or more content category lists. You can also select individual categories.

To prevent decryption of traffic to internet destinations based on content category, see Important Information About Do Not Decrypt Lists.
