Create or Edit a File Policy

Before you begin

If you are configuring policies for malware protection, see all required procedures in Configure File Policies.

Procedure

1

Select Policies > Access Control heading > Malware & File.

2

Create a new policy, or edit an existing policy.

If you are editing an existing policy: If View (View button) appears instead, the configuration belongs to an ancestor domain, or you do not have permission to modify the configuration.

To make a copy of an existing file policy, click Copy (copy icon), then type a unique name for the new policy in the dialog box that appears. You can then modify the copy.

3

Add one or more rules to the file policy as described in Creating File Rules.

4

Optionally, select Advanced and configure advanced options as described in Advanced and Archive File Inspection Options.

5

Save the file policy.
