Automating Intrusion Policy Deployment

After modifying configuration settings in the Cloud-Delivered Firewall Management Center, you must deploy those changes to the affected devices.

Procedure

1

Select System (system gear icon) > Tools > Scheduling.

2

Click Add Task.

3

From Job Type, select Queue Intrusion Policy Apply.

4

Specify how you want to schedule the task, Once or Recurring:

  • For one-time tasks, use the drop-down lists to specify the start date and time.

  • For recurring tasks, see Configure a Recurring Task for details.

5

Type a name in the Job Name field.

6

In the Intrusion Policy drop-down, choose the intrusion policy that you want to deploy.

7

In the Device field, select a device where you want to deploy policies.

8

If you want to comment on the task, type a comment in the Comment field.

The comment field appears in the Task Details section of the schedule calendar page. The comment field must contain between 3 and 255 characters and cannot include any special characters other than hyphen (-), colon (:), and parentheses ().

9

If you want to email task status messages, type an email address (or multiple email addresses separated by commas) in the Email Status To: field. You must have a valid email relay server configured to send status messages.

10

Click Save.
