Activation Code to Activate Externally Managed Product Instance
While claiming a subscription, if you choose to activate an existing instance, Security Cloud Control generates a unique activation code when a product instance is onboarded. Use this activation code on the product portal to activate the product.
If you have inadvertently chosen to activate an existing instance or if you decide to activate a new instance, you can cancel the activation code and activate the subscription license on a new instance.
Before you begin
Youmust have claimed a subscription.
Procedure

In Security Cloud Control, select the organization where you have claimed the subscription. |

In the Security Cloud Control platform menu, choose . |

From the Product and service activation status section, copy the activation code that is displayed for the product.

Apply the activation code to the product instance through the user interface of the product portal. Alternatively, share the activation code with a product administrator who can use the code on the product portal. |

Return to Security Cloud Control to see the activated product displayed in the Products section. |

(Optional) While claiming the subscription, if you have inadvertently chosen to attach an existing instance and the activation code is generated, or, if you don’t want to activate an existing instance, click Cancel activation code. In the dialog box, click Create new instance. This creates a new instance of the product and applies the subscription license to it. |
