Overview of Subscription Process
When you purchase a new subscription from Cisco, a welcome email with the subscription claim code is automatically sent to the Provisioning Contact specified during the purchasing process. If you included the End Customer contact during the purchase, that person also receives a copy of the initial welcome email.. The welcome email is sent on the requested start date of the subscription.
For Enterprise Agreement subscriptions, the welcome email and claim code are sent when the first request is made within the Enterprise Agreement Workspace (EAWS), not on the requested subscription start date.. The welcome email and claim code for Enterprise Agreement are sent to the technical contact who makes the request within the EAWS.
A Security Cloud Controlorganization administrator uses the Claim subscription (1) option to claim the subscription for the current organization.
After a subscription is claimed, its products are listed in the Product and service activation status section, with their corresponding start dates (2). The organization administrator clicks Action required (3) to activate the product. Activated products are listed in the Products section (4).

An organization supports only one active instance of a product. See Single Product Instance in an Organization. |
For each activated product, the product subscription details are displayed as a separate tile.
Trial products display a label. Externally managed product instances that have been attached to Security Cloud also display an
label.
