Activate a Product Instance
You can activate the products in the subscription in the following ways:
-
Activate an inactive instance: If a product instance (that was previously provisioned and is inactive) exists in the current organization, you can choose to apply the new product license to this inactive instance. Security Cloud Control may require further inputs to activate the product instance. Refer to the Activate an Inactive Product Instance procedure.
-
Activate through an activation code: If a product supports the use of activation code, an activation code is generated for the product instance when it is onboarded. Apply this activation code in the product portal to activate the product instance in Security Cloud Control. Refer to Activation Code to Activate an Externally Managed Instance.
-
Activate externally managed instance through invitation: If a product does not support the use of activation code, you must first attach the external instance to Security Cloud Control and then activate it. To connect and activate an externally managed product instance to Security Cloud, see Attach and Activate An Externally Managed Product Instance..
-
Activate an instance after providing further inputs: During the subscription claim process, some products do not allow you to choose between activating a new instance or an existing one. For such products, click the Action required button (which is available post subscription claim) to activate a new or existing instance. Refer to Activate a Product Instance with Further Inputs.
