AI Defense Secure Access Integration

The AI Defense integration with Cisco Secure Access gives you visibility into the generative AI applications and third-party AI models that people are using in your organization. With Secure Access and AI Defense, you can control access to and apply guardrails to these AI applications to prevent data loss and mitigate threats. This integration allows you to:

Discover generative AI applications
Detect users navigating to generative AI applications
Block the use of specific generative AI applications
Prevent your users from using unsanctioned third-party AI applications. Do this by adding an AI guardrails rule to the Data Loss Prevention Policy in Cisco Secure Access.

Set up Secure Access for AI Application Discovery

In Secure Access, generate an API key by opening the Admin tab and performing the Add New Service Credentials action.
Go to AI Defense: Administration
On the Secure Access card, click Connect.
Paste the Secure Access API key, and click Connect to save the connection.
In Secure Access, add AI Guardrails Rules to your Data Loss Prevention Policy. These rules provide data protection in prompts and responses exchanged with AI applications. To understand the policy capabilities, see Policies for Runtime. Secure Access and AI Defense provide the same policy capabilities.
