Cisco AI Assistant Best Practices

Effective communication with the AI Assistant ensures accurate and relevant responses across all supported Cisco security products. By following these best practices, you can optimize interactions and make the most of the assistant’s capabilities.

  • Ask detailed questions - The AI Assistant is trained with policy/rule configurations, authentication logs, security documentation, and troubleshooting data across multiple Cisco security products, including Firewall, Duo, Hypershield, and Secure Access. To receive precise answers, provide important details and relevant context.

  • Firewall: How many decryption policies are enabled on my account? Where can I access them? Do the policies have source and destination enabled?

  • Duo: Why did a user’s authentication attempt fail? What authentication logs are available for this event?

  • Secure Access: What policies are applied to a specific user group? How can I troubleshoot private application access failures?

  • Hypershield: What are the latest CVE vulnerabilities affecting my environment? What compensating controls can be applied?

  • Divide the tasks into sub-tasks - For multi-step tasks, it’s best to divide them into smaller queries and input them sequentially. This ensures clarity, prevents information overload, and improves response accuracy.
